Laois Church of Ireland Youth Council

The Council

LCiYC is formed of a committee drawn from the parishes of Abbeyleix, Mountrath, Rathdowney, Stradbally, Portlaoise, Castletown/Mayo, Mountrath and Mountmellick, Portarlington and Portlaoise.

We work very hard to ensure there are plenty of events for everyone from young teenagers up into the twenties age range and beyond. We meet at least once a month to plan and organise ideas, stratagies and events.

As a youth organisation, are committed to the safety and well being of our young people and comply with "Safeguarding Trust" the Church of Ireland's code of conduct for those working with youth.

Description of role: promoting the spiritual, social, educational and recreational aspects of life of the Church of Ireland youth of Laois.
Must be: interested in the youth, be willing to fulfil their role to the
best of their ability-promoting events and keeping in contact
with their rectors and youth of their parish
